Marissa, Liesl and I went to see this band last night playing in a bar near the St Marie church. Rue Royale are a half British, half American couple who have just moved back to the UK. This was their debut European performance to start a really long list of gigs all around Europe.
I loved their sound. I’m not even going to attempt to describe it because I don’t think I have skills in musical journalism but you should go and check out the songs on their myspace page and definitely try and see them if they come in yoru direction.
What was really special was that their lyrics are so full of hope and worship, something that this city really needs.
(Photo shamelessly lifted from their myspace page. Apparently taken by Roland Kok. Nice picture Roland.)

I just went to their myspace. I like it! How fitting, since you saw the show with another Marissa. :)
Fiony, I want to tell you that I read your blog a few times a week, and I think it is wonderful and beautiful.
