Last night Joanna and I made what was possibly the best cottage pie in the world ever…
This was followed up with a film (Once – really amazing music and beautiful film, highly recommended!) and these chocolate cupcakes I made earlier in the afternoon…
I am currently making these baked eggs for my Saturday brunch from Heidi Swanson’s recipe (using tortilla instead of pitta and adding some bacon which I miraculously found in the supermarket). Her blog 101 Cookbooks is my absolute favourite but I have to admit to this being the fist of her recipes I have actually attempted. If it is sucessful (…just checked the oven, they are looking good) I will post a picture here. If not, you are never to mention this experiment again!
(Later…) Ta da!!!!
So I would call these a success, despite the fact that my muffin tin is apparently not as non-stick as it claims to be. Next time, lining the tins with baking paper is probably the way forward. Still, they were DELICIOUS and will definitely be repeated – I have loads fo filling left over so tomorrow is looking good!

Wow, that’s like a neat little breakfast all in one go! How cool!
Next time someone asks me “How do you like your eggs in the morning?” I shall say, “Well I prefer them in a tortilla cup thingy with bacon on the bottom and an egg neatly cooked on top… with the yoke not broken!”
I reckon that’ll flumux them!
