The main road was chokker block coz of the Blenheim something or other game festival. So the bus driver said he was just going to go another way. Which by the way meant dropping me and my cousin Sam (who had very heroicly come to carry my bag) about two miles from home. I think it was harder for Sam than me. He made me promise to by a big suitcase with wheels.
The first thing I did on getting home was say hello to Fat Cat and Muesli*, make myself a big cheddar cheese and onion marmarlade roll and sit reading the Times at the dining table.
And mum says she is getting us Chinese takeaway for dinner.
Oh it is nice to be HOME.
*Otherwise known as Zebedee and Moses – very scriptural names for our holy cats :)
